We've all wanted to do it! Kerry Katona and Lembit Opik find themselves victim of cream pie throwing on This Morning

We've all wanted to do it! Kerry Katona and Lembit Opik found themselves the victims of a cream pie-throwing segment on This Morning today

It's safe to say that they both have their fair share of critics, who have probably dreamed about the opportunity to throw a cream pie in their faces.

And today that became reality for both Kerry Katona and former MP Lembit Opik, who found themselves the victims of Phillip Schofield's very accurate pie-throwing during This Morning's summer showdown this morning.

The pair covered up in plastic ponchos and shower caps before putting their heads through a traditional cut-out wooden cream-pie throwing fair accessory.

Taking aim! Phillip Schofield looked delighted to be given the opportunity to throw the pies at Lembit and Kerry

But while they had donned protective gear ahead of the unpleasant experience of Schofield chucking a huge pie at their faces, Kerry appeared to have missed the point of wearing a shower cap.

Instead of wrapping her hair up inside the shower cap, the mother-of-four instead left her long blonde plait - the result of recent hair extensions - loose and subject to damage by the tossing.

And after the segment had finished, Kerry looked less than impressed with the mess the experience had created.

Gearing up: Kerry and Lembit put their heads through the holes in the fair design board as they waited to get pied

Bottoms up! The pair made sure they were standing in the correct positions ahead of the throwing

After effects: Kerry and Lembit were seen covered in goo after the hilarious contest

She squealed in horror as one of her aides attempted to get her cleaned off as quickly as possible.

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Lembit also looked unimpressed by the cream as the pair were interviewed following the segment by Schofield and co-presenter Holly Willoughby.

Things were slightly less messy for Kerry earlier in the show, when she had been testing out the best instant fake tans for summer.

Get it off me! After the segment, Kerry looked keen to get cleaned up as quickly as possible

Not so nice: Kerry was covered in the cream as she was interviewed afterwards by Schofield and co-host Holly Willoughby

And while she was given a group of models to work with, it was the muscular male volunteer whom Kerry seemed most excited by - giggling as she smeared the tan into his rock-hard six-pack.

After the show, Kerry tweeted: 'Love being back on this morning! Xx'

She later added: 'Life is what you make it... Why not make it amazing! :) xxxx'

This is better! Earlier in the show, Kerry had been given the task of testing out instant fake tan on a male model
