Fresh-faced: Holly Willoughby tweets a photo of her with no make-up on Sunday morning

Earlier that morning, Holly had tweeted a photo of the Sunday lunch she had already prepared, prompting a follower to praise her for being so organised.

However, the TV presenter confessed she had been cooking while still in her night clothes and tweeted a photo as evidence.

She wrote: 'Lunch done, Me however still in nightie! Make-up!'

Later that evening, Holly ended up watching the England V Italy game at home alone after her TV producer Dan Baldwin went to watch it at the pub with Declan Donnelly.

She admitted she was a bit lost with the football jargon without her husband and relied on her Twitter followers to guide her through the game.

She tweeted: 'My hubbies gone to the pub and I think this is a first for me, I'm sat on my own about to watch the game... Weird! X

'Has the keeper ever scored when doing one of those massive kicks? Sorry for the limited footy lingo!'

During half-time, she admitted she was reading E L James's bestseller Fifty Shades Of Grey.

She said: 'Right, just time to catch up with Christian Grey before the 2nd half.'

When it went to penalties after extra time ended with a nil-nil draw, Holly needed to be educated about penalty shoot-outs.

She wrote: 'Really!!!!! So is this sudden death?'

She was informed by Twitter follower that is wasn't, she replied: 'Thanks, it's hard doing this on my own!

'Thank God you lot can keep me informed!'

However, she ended up just as miserable as many England fans when the team were knocked out by Italy on 2-4 penalties.

She declared: '50 shades of s**tsville! And that pretty much sums up my night!'
Meanwhile, Holly is set to make her big screen debut with a cameo in Keith Lemon: The Movie.
