Here come the girls: Caroline Flack was in a high spirits as she and some female friends headed to the pub, just days after she and her toyboy Harry Styles called time on their romance


While her ex-boyfriend was on the other side of the world looking glum after their split, it would appear that Caroline Flack is made of stronger stuff.

Days after it was revealed that she and her One Direction toyboy Harry Styles had called time on their three month romance, the TV presenter wasted no time feeling sorry for herself.

Instead she called up a few friends and hit the town for a night out, putting her heartbreak woes to one side.


Caroline was snapped with four female friends laughing and joking about as they walked up a street together in north London as they headed to the pub.

Once inside, Caroline got comfy with a large glass of red wine and looked in good spirits as she chatted with her friends.

The 32-year-old certainly didn't look like a woman who was missing her ex and had made an effort for her night out in a short black skirt and a baby pink shirt.

In contrast, over 5,000 miles away, her former toyboy, 17, looked rather glum as he and his One Direction band mates arrived at a photo shoot in Los Angeles.

Despite being surrounded by a legion of adoring fans, Harry, who turns 18 on Wednesday, kept his distance and failed to raise a a smile as he chatted on his phone.

He and his boyband chums - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - are in America in a bid to crack the US charts and will support American boy band Big Time Rush on their upcoming tour.

They will also have a cameo stint on Nickelodeon sitcom iCandy.

Harry and Caroline first got together back in October and caused controversy due to their 15-year age gap but they ignored the criticism and enjoyed a fun-filled fling.

However, apart from them being spotted leaving each other's houses on various occasions, they made sure they avoided being pictured together, with just one shot of the pair being a Twitter picture from the beginning of their relationship.

On Friday, Harry took to his Twitter page to confirm that he and Flack had called it a day but insisted that he had not 'dumped' her and the decision to split was mutual.

Harry Styles this morning confirmed he has split from Caroline Flack after three months of dating.

The One Direction singer, who will turn 18 on Wednesday, told fans on his Twitter page that reports of the break-up from 32-year-old presenter Caroline were true.

However, Harry hit out at reports he had 'dumped' The Xtra Factor host, insisting the decision was mutual.

He tweeted: 'Please know I didn't "dump" Caroline. This was a mutual decision. She is one of the kindest, sweetest people I know.'

Harry and Caroline caused controversy when they started dating back in October due to the 15-year age gap.

But the pair ignored the criticism and have enjoyed a fun-filled fling over the past few months.

They consistently avoided being photographed together during their romance, with one of the only shots of the pair being a Twitter picture from the beginning of their relationship.

Harry and Caroline's split came just weeks before he and band One Direction jetted off on their first American tour.

However, Caroline didn't let her newly-single status affect her as she co-presented the ITV2's coverage of the National Television Awards on Wednesday night.

Stepping on to the red carpet, she wore a colourful patterned dress with a pink shirt, while her tanned pins were on show.

The TV star spent five hours in the hairdressers' chair, appearing with shorter, darker locks a few days ago.

And she'd clearly had a good time as she let herself loose following her presenting stint.

She tweeted the following morning: 'My.head.hurts.'

She was spotted tearfully dropping him off for his gig last month.

So perhaps Caroline Flack was trying to avoid an emotional repeat this weekend by getting her twin sister to do her dirty work.

Jody Flack, 32, was seen driving the 17-year-old One Direction singer off at the train station on Friday.

He hopped on a train at King's Cross to meet his band in Sheffield for their concert.

Carrying an overnight back, he gave Jody a friendly kiss before hopping out of her black Audi Q5, reported The People.

Jody's young children were seen in the back of her vehicle.
The teenager was apparently introduced to the family a week ago.

A source told the newspaper: 'Harry has met the family and they fully approve.

'He can't believe that he has pulled her. It's pretty serious between them now.'

Despite the massive age gap between the pair, which has seen Caroline recieve hate mail from jealous fans, the Xtra Factor host has spoken about wanting to settle down like Jody.

'One day I’d love to settle down with someone,' she told Fabulous magazine.

'I’d like my twin sister Jo’s life. She’s got a lovely partner, a gorgeous house and two kids. That’s definitely the next step for me.'

Meanwhile, Harry has apparently reassured his older girlfriend that a photo of him with a blonde over New Year meant nothing.

A source told Now magazine: 'Harry's absolutely head over heels with Caroline and keeps telling her so,' says a source close to the couple.

'But obviously all the hassle their relationship's had, and the fact that he's a teenager on tour surrounded by young girls, has left her feeling a bit uneasy.

'You can understand why she might feel a little insecure.'

‘Harry assured Caroline it was nothing.

‘He's promised there won't be any partying on the rest of the tour. He just has no interest.'
