Toned physique: Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick showed he's fighting fit after his ski accident two weeks ago on the beach in Miami

His father is known for his hard man persona on the big screen and rose to fame flexing his muscles as a body builder.

So it's no wonder his 18-year-old son Patrick has started to display his very own six-pack.

The teenager was spotted on the beach in Miami on Saturday with his toned physique in full show as he wore his swim shorts.

The model has bounced back following a nasty ski accident a fortnight ago and frolicked in the water with his friends as they played catch with a bit of seaweed.

And his good looks and increasingly buff body hadn't gone unnoticed as he was flanked by a number of bikini clad girls as he enjoyed his day in the sun.

Although Patrick Schwarzenegger could have chosen a more stylish pair of shorts, as he stepped out in a pair emblazoned with pictures of watermelons and pineapples.

But he was clearly in the summer spirit as he made the most of his time on Miami Beach, where he'd flown to enjoy the sounds of the Ultra Music Festival.

He wrote on Twitter ahead of the trip: 'At the airport, getting ready to take off to Miami with all the homies. Gonna be a crazy weekend at ultra music festival.'

He was joined by one female friend, who wore a pink string bikini with black swimming bottoms.

And he wasn't short of female attention as a couple of other ladies were seen chatting to him as he stood in the sea.

Patrick has previously been spotted working hard to build up his muscles while undergoing intensive training.

He has been seen jogging near his home in Brentwood in Los Angeles, while undergoing press ups under the encouragement of a personal trainer.

And the hard work has clearly paid off as he happily flaunted his bare skin over the weekend trip to Miami.

Down time: Patrick has been tweeting to keep his followers up to date on his fun filled activities

And he is obviously fighting fit now after hurting himself in a skiing accident earlier this month.

Patrick was rushed to hospital in Sun Valley, Idaho after suffering a nasty fall, slicing open his bottom cheek and having a number of stitches.

But he has since recuperated and wrote on Twitter at the time: 'Little ski accident today. Some bruises and stiches down back and but. Thanks to sun valley doctors for everything.'

Wearing colourful red and blue check shorts, Patrick showed off his six-pack and toned arms as he took a cooling dip in the ocean.

Patrick appears shirtless in the advert, which showcases his slender yoga-honed physique. He may be no beefcake like his former weight-training fanatic father but he's definitely more easy on the eye.

Patrick, who turns 18 next month, has been trying to embark on a career in modelling and fashion. He follows in the footsteps of another child born to famous parents, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's daughter, Georgia May Jagger, who also models for the brand.

A source told The New York Post: 'Young Hollywood is going to go crazy for this kid.'

Meanwhile, Patrick enjoyed some fun in the sun, laughing and joking around with his older sisters, Katherine, 22, and Cristina, 19 as they sat on swings hung from the trees.
