Single mother Mariah Yeater has quietly dismissed her paternity suit against teenage pop star Justin Bieber.

The 20-year-old, who gave birth to son Tristyn four months ago, has apparently had a change of heart after filing legal action against the Canadian singer two weeks ago.

Her lawsuit seeking a paternity test and child support was withdrawn last week, according to TMZ.com.


Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, the two lawyers who were representing Yeater, have apparently resigned.

The withdrawal of the suit comes after Bieber not only said he would submit to a DNA test, but was also planning to sue Yeater for making a bogus claim.

Yeater shocked Bieber's legions of fans - and his girlfriend Selena Gomez - when she claimed he had fathered her son during a 30-second tryst in a bathroom after his concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center on October 25 last year.

In an interview on U.S. TV show The Insider last week, she claimed: 'He (Bieber) immediately took a liking to me and we just got to talking and then he eventually asked me, "Do you mind if we can go somewhere and be alone?

When she was quizzed over what evidence she has to support her claims, Yeater said she has provided some to her attorney but could not discuss it on camera.

She added: 'It'll show in court to prove that my allegations are true.'

The Insider confronted Yeater on a recent interview with a security guard who claims that on the night in question, Bieber's dressing room was full of friends and family, staying with the teenage heartthrob until he left.

Asked for her response on the guard's claims, Yeater said: 'No comment.'

The authenticity of Yeater's claims and her character were put under the microscope after photos of her stripping leaked online last week.

She was also arrested in 2010 for slapping an ex-boyfriend and charged with battery.

Bieber addressed the rumours on the U.S Today Show, saying: 'I would just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true.

'I know that I'm going to be a target but I'm never going to be a victim.

'I think it's crazy because every night after the show I'm gone, right from the stage to my car so it's crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations but to set the record straight, none of it is true.

'I've never met the woman.'

These are the first pictures of the baby at the centre of the Justin Bieber 'love child' scandal.

Fan Mariah Yeater claims the singer is the father of her four-month-old son Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater and says the evidence is all in the little boys pout.

He vehemently denies the claim but has reportedly been summoned to attend a paternity test at Los Angeles Superior Court ten days before Christmas where he is expected to be ordered to undergo a paternity test.

Mariah, 20, who claims she had sex with the 17-year-old popstar backstage at one of his concerts, is seeking £170,000 from him in child support.

She says the resemblance to the singer and her son is uncanny.

She is seen cradling the adorable baby in a park in Los Angeles. The innocent fair-headed child is dressed in a white jumpsuit.

'Look, just look at his mouth,' she told the Daily Star Sunday.

'Look familiar? I pray that Justin sees theses photos, looks at Tristyn and knows in his heart that this is his child and out child. It's going to be a nightmare for all of us if he keeps denying it.

'I just want what is right for our son I feel terribly hurt that we have been abandoned and none of my calls to Justin were returned.'

But it has been revealed that Mariah accused tow other men of being Tristyn's father before pointing the finger at Justin.

She first said it was her ex-boyfriend John Terranova before saying it was a secret lover named Steve.

John, who lives in Las Vegas, said last night he did not believe he or Justin wore the father.

'She just wants money,' he told the Sunday Mirror.

'She came back here from California telling me she was pregnant with my child. I said "This is impossible, you've been in California two months and back here for only a week". She told me: "No, I got pregnant before I left". But it didn't make sense because she had a doctor's note saying she wasn't pregnant enough for that to be possible.'

It has also emerged that Mariah got into a fight with John after he denied her allegations and she was arrested.

The truth will all come out soon: The 17-year-old has been summoned to appear attend a paternity hearing ten days before Christmas


She was arrested and charged with battery, according to TMZ, because she had hit John in the face.

Court papers show she was arrested on December 21, 2010 on suspicion of battery domestic violence, injury/destroying property of another and making threatening telephone calls.

The case was continued to December 2011 as of June 2011.

On June 16, Yeater's lawyer asked for a continuance, noting she lived out of state and was 'under doctor's orders not to travel due to high-risk pregnancy.'

On the other man she claimed was the father, a friend said: 'Steve was her secret boyfriend for a long time. She said they made love twice. One of the times the condom broke, so she thought that might be when she got pregnant.'

Friends say the young woman has a 'troubled relationship with the truth'.

One said: 'I saw Mariah four months ago - just before she gave birth - and she said she thought her boyfriend John was the baby's father. But she also said Steve might be the real dad.'

It has also emerged that Maria almost gave up the baby boy for adoption before instead going public with her Justin bombshell.

Despite the allegations, Justin's girlfriend Selena Gomez stood by her man last night as he scooped an award for his charity work in Belfast.

They held hands as they headed to a special MTV Voices dinner where Justin also mingled with Lady Gaga.

It was the first time the couple have been pictured together since the allegations came to light and they are expected to put on an even more public display of affection tonight with Selena hosting the awards.

Justin addressed the claims on the Today show on Friday, saying: 'I know that I'm gonna be a target - but I'm never gonna be a victim.

Mariah Yeater's claims that Justin Bieber is the father of her baby may get her into hot water with the law.

Yeater, 20, could now come under investigation by Los Angeles police for 'statutory rape'.

Bieber would have been just 16-years-old during her alleged tryst with the singer, which she says resulted in the birth of her baby boy.

That would mean at the time Bieber was legally a minor.

Yesterday, a Los Angeles police commander said that his department could be investigating Yeater's claims.

The law states any person 'who engages in an act of unlawful sexual
intercourse with a minor who is not more than three years older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is guilty of a misdemeanor.'

At the time of the alleged encounter, Yeater had only just turned 19.

According to Associated Press, Cmdr. Andrew Smith said that no report has yet been taken about the incident, which allegedly occurred last October at the Staples Centre.

But that doesn't mean police won't take action, given that it's been reported that Yeater is filing a paternity suit against the young pop star.

Yeater now wants Bieber to take a paternity test to ‘scientifically confirm’ he is the father of her three-month-old son, according to Star magazine in the U.S.

In court papers filed on Monday, she is also demanding Bieber 'provide adequate support for my baby'.

The baby – Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater – was born on July 6.

She claims that during the tryst the singer told her it was his first time and that he was a virgin before he hastily removed her clothes in a bathroom.

The California-born woman also alleges that her sexual encounter with the Baby singer was 'brief, lasting only approximately 30 seconds.'

Yeater reportedly claimed in the court papers that she had sex after the singer’s October 25, 2010, concert at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

In an affidavit, she allegedly said a security guard working for Bieber approached her and ‘asked if I wanted to meet Justin Bieber’ before shepherding her backstage.
