They may not have been dating for very long, but Sam Faiers and Joey Essex looked every inch the loved-up couple on their Mallorcan break over the weekend.

The pair kissed and cuddled as they relaxed on the sandy beach and frolicked together in the Spanish surf.

And it was no wonder Joey couldn't keep his hands off his girlfriend, as she showed off her fantastic bikini body in a bright pink two-piece.

The pair enjoyed a ride on a pedalo boat, which came complete with a slide to splash into the water, with Sam taking huge delight in giving her boyfriend a soaking.

But it seems May might be a bit early to test the water in Mallorca, as Sam gritted her teeth when she edged her way into the cold sea.

Back on shore, Sam and Joey relaxed as they sunbathed and lathered each other up with suncream - pausing only to give each other a kiss.

Writing on her Twitter page yesterday, Sam tweeted: 'Been sunbathing all day ! Love the beach! Home tonight :-( x'

She then tweeted two pictures from the couple's short break, one of a heart in the sand containing both her and Joey's initials, and one of the pair grinning for the camera with their arms around one another.

Joey told his Twitter followers yesterday: 'Landed, wish I was still in spain! Was roasting this morning!!! :('

Sam and Joey started dating earlier this year and their relationship has so far been documented on the second series of the ITV2 show.

And while the pair looked more than a little loved-up as they relaxed on the beach, things haven't always gone as smoothly for the couple.

On their first date, Joey decided to take Sam on a little adventure, treating her to a tour of his favourite childhood haunts - including the local dump.

But Sam decided to put the unusual first date behind her and give Joey another chance, bestowing upon him the greatest honour when she took him as her date to ex-boyfriend Mark Wright's engagement party to Lauren Goodger.

The penultimate episode of the second series of the show, however, saw the couple's first argument after Sam refused to let Joey go with her to Marbella, insisting she wanted to go with her girlfriends.

However, asked recently how the relationship was going, Sam replied: 'We’re getting on great. He really makes me laugh.'

Tower of strength: All eyes were on Katie Holmes as she supported husband Tom Cruise while he was honoured by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre in Los Angeles last night


It can be difficult to stand out when your husband is a world-famous action movie star.

But last night Katie Holmes managed to take centre stage as Tom Cruise was being honoured by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre by turning up at the event in a low-cut dress which drew attention to her cleavage.

The 32-year-old actress looked stunning in the black dress with green sash, which she teamed with black sandals, as she posed with Cruise outside the event.

However, it was inside the event that Holmes really stood out from the crowd, as she glowed while applauding the honorees at the ceremony.

The couple were also accompanied by Cruise's 16-year-old adopted son Connor as the Mission: Impossible actor was presented with the Humanitarian Award - the highest honour bestowed by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, a Jewish rights organisation which also educates people about the Nazi Holocaust.

Cruise, who played a German military officer who planned an assassination of Adolf Hitler in the 2008 film Valkyrie, was honoured for his support of the organisation throughout his life.

Absent from last night's ceremony was the couple's five-year-old daughter Suri, who is perhaps too young for such an occasion.

Despite reports that she and her husband are planning to have more children, Holmes recently insisted that she is happy with the size of her family.

She also said that Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman's adopted children Connor and 18-year-old Isabella get on incredibly well with Suri.

She said: 'They're great kids, a great brother and a great sister to Suri, and she's a great sister to them. It's not, "This is stepmotherhood and this is motherhood".

'I'm not worried about it (having another baby). She's got really good friends and great cousins, so I feel happy about it.

'We have a really busy household, and it's really fun and fulfilling. There's always something going on.'
