The hotpants are back! Kylie Minogue steps back in time with another pair of short shorts on the set of her music video

By Andrea Magrath and Fehintola Betiku

Back in the hotpants: Kylie Minogue is pictured on the set of her latest music video in London today wearing a pair of very shot denim hotpants

It's been twelve years since she sent pulses raising in those gold hotpants.

But eternally youthful Kylie Minogue proved that she can still rock the look at 43 today when she was spotted wearing a pair of equally tiny denim short shorts.

The singer was on the set of her latest music video in London and despite the drizzle, paraded around set in a pair of sunglasses and the the revealing cut-offs.

Kylie added a black and white leather jacket with a quilted red heart motif on the front, and ankle boots.

The All The Lovers hitmaker had every reason to be confident in her tiny shorts, showing off enviable toned and trim legs.

Miss Minogue teetered on the wet pavement as she danced in the towering heels, almost slipping over at one point.

Never too old for hotpants! The pop star looked as good in the short shorts as she did 12 years ago

Spinning Around: Those gold hotpants caused a stir when Spinning Around was released in 2000

It was an early start for the star after she enjoyed a night out with her BFF, Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters last night.

Minogue and Shears were spotted as they geared up to watch Wayne McGregor’s Carbon Life.

The songstress looked gorgeous in a purple leopard print body con dress which she teamed up with a pair of black heels.

Whoops! Kylie teetered on the wet pavement in her towering heels

Kylie kept it simple and teamed up the dress with a black leather jacket and a black handbag.

Having a blast at the opera show, she took to her Twitter account where she uploaded a picture of her outfit.

She tweeted, '#carbonlife at royal opera London was amazing!!! Oh and @stefanogabbana'.

Date night: She was accompanied by good friend Jake Shears

Turning up the volume, Jake Shears opted for a much more colourful outfit, and wore a very loud jacket with a printed white T-shirt, a pair of grey jeans and shiny gold trainers.

Happy to be reunited with his BFF, prior to their outing the singer uploaded a picture of him and Kylie in a studio.

He tweeted, 'Together again. 2 Friends 2 Gether 4 Ever'.

'Together again': Jake uploaded a picture of himself and Kylie before their outing

Keen to show off how much of a good time they were having Jake uploaded a couple cheeky snaps of them as they enjoyed their night out.

Taking inspiration from the ballet show, in one of the pictures he posted both him and Kylie can be seen doing their best ballerina pose.

In the other snap Kylie is pouting heavily as she holds what appears to be a make up palette and leans in closely to Jake.

Grin and bare it: Kylie Minogue braves the cold weather and a make-up free face as she steps out in black and gold coat

By Iona Kirby

She may be a megastar but Kylie Minogue kept things understated when she stepped out in London today.

The pint-sized pop star, 43, drove herself to a West London gym.

While it is unusual to see her in such a casual outfit, Kylie looked simple and stylish.

Natural: Kylie kept things make-up free in London today

She decided to go au naturel and free of make-up as she strolled down the street after parking her car.

But her bare face didn't stop the star from smiling at the awaiting photographers.

She picked a black coat with gold piping to keep her warm in the cool British weather.

Black and gold: Kylie chose a coat also favoured by Pippa Middleton

The Australian kept the rest of the outfit equally simple in skinny black trousers, which she accessorised with black heeled pumps and a black patent handbag.

And Kylie is not the only one to favour the double-breasted coat, which falls mid-thigh and ties at the waist.

Pippa Middleton, who is fast becoming a style icon just like her sister, has also been spotted sporting it.

Understated: The star kept things simple and stylish

Kylie finished her worldwide tour Aphrodite last month and is currently promoting a 3-D version of the concert.

She is also voices an animatronic pig in the musical Betty Blue Eyes at London's Novello Theatre.

The singer was earlier this month seen visiting the pig, which she has voiced since the musical's opening in April.

Kylie Minogue gets up close and personal with the animatronic pig she voices on Betty Blue Eyes visit

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Say hello to my little friend: Kylie Minogue meets the animatronic pig she has been voicing in Betty Blue Eyes for the past four months

She's voiced The Green Fairy in Moulin Rouge and Florence in The Magic Roundabout.
But one of Kylie Minogue's most well-loved alter egos is that of an animatronic pig in the musical Betty Blue Eyes.

So the 43-year-old singer decided to pay a visit to London's Novello Theatre yesterday afternoon to finally meet the porker she has been voicing for the past four months.

She's amazing! Kylie appeared to be blown away by the animatronic porker

Dressed in a simple outfit of a white shirt and black tie, Kylie giggled as she posed up with her new friend and met the cast of the Alan Bennett musical.

Kylie has been voicing Betty since the show opened in London in April after producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh decided to offer her the part.

Explaining the decision, Mackintosh said: 'I was thinking of someone that crossed generations and would have the little girly sound that would be fitting for Betty and thought of Kylie

'She loved the idea. The voice of Betty couldn't be in better hands. She was an absolute sport.'

Mackintosh added he was thrilled that Betty has become the most loved member of the cast.

He said: 'It's lovely to hear the oohs and aahs when she appears!'

Looking grrreat! Kylie Minogue is stunning in leopard print coat as she greets fans - and even signs a bandaged wrist

The cat's whiskers: Kylie Minogue looked stunning in a leopard print coat as she signed autographs for fans in Sydney

Kylie Minogue she was just a pussycat last night as she took the time to undertake a meet and greet with her fans before a show in Sydney last night.

The Love At First Sight singer was wearing a stylish cape-style leopard coat as she signed autographs ahead of her gig at at the city's Entertainment Centre - and at one point even autographed the bandage on a fan's arm.

The 43-year-old was certainly feline fine in the cold of the Australian winter in the coat.

It's a chilly-for-Sydney 15°C and cloudy, with rain on the way - not exactly barbie weather.

The star was wrapped up warm in the cosy drape-fronted fake fur coat, which was scarily realistic.

She teamed the jacket with skintight black jeans and knee-high black boots.

Easy does it: The star even signed a fan's bandaged wrist as she took time out of her hectic schedule for a meet and greet

The coat is clearly a favourite of Kylie's.

She was first seen wearing it last December back home in London.

But the stylish star has got it back out of her wardrobe again as she's it's currently winter in her homeland, where she's playing the Australian leg of her Aphrodite tour.

Who's next? The singer, who is playing her third night at Sydney's Entertainment Centre tonight, carried out the impromptu signing backstage

Just purrfect: The star was looking stunning in the fake fur coat as she said hello to her Sydney fans

She said her was thrilled be back home too, telling local journalists: 'I definitely get a little more excited and a little nervous, and I just try to make that work in my favour,' she said.

'In my mind it is [a tougher crowd to play] sometimes but I'm at home and there is so much love and joy and everything great about being home.'

Despite basing herself in London for much of the past two decades, Kylie says she could never choose between her adopted and native homes.

Old favourite: Kylie was first seen wearing the coat last winter in London

'If it had to choose to be the other side of the world and that was it, I don't know if I could do that,' she said.

'My life is on both sides of the world, travel is the way it is at the moment.'

Earlier this week, the star was greeted with a flashmob of fans singing I Should Be So Lucky to her as she arrived at Sydney's Wildfire restaurant, where she played a surprise semi-acoustic set, which you can watch below.

Racy lady: Kylie Minogue pulls out the stops in backless dress for premiere of stylist William Baker's new burlesque show

By JODY THOMPSON

Daring: Kylie Minogue wore a plunging backless frock that laced at the front for the premiere of William Baker's Hurly Burly Show in London

Kylie Minogue put on a suitably racy lacy frock when she was guest of honour at the opening of her stylist William Baker's new burlesque show last night.

The 42-year-old star had donned an unusual pom-pom trimmed nude frock which rather saucily had a plunging lace-up front as well as killer nude peep toe Louboutins for the premiere in London.

Called The Hurly Burly and taglined 'A contemporary burlesque review' the raunchy revue is directed by 37-year-old William and has just opened in the West End's Garrick Theatre.

Raunchy: Kylie with the star of the show, which has just launched at the Garrick Theatre, Miss Polly Rae

Starring burlesque artist Miss Polly Rae, it's described as an all singing, all dancing burlesque-inspired revue with a contemporary twist fusing fashion, music and popular culture - not that far removed from Kylie's current Aphrodite: Les Folies tour, then...

Rather than Kylie though, the Hurly Burly Show stars its founder, Miss Polly Rae, who created the show five years ago at the Soho Revue Bar.

William, who began his career as a fashion designer, made his debut as a theatre director in the 2007 West End revival of Rent.

Kylie was taking a night off from her Aphrodite tour, which kicked off in Denmark in February, to support her friend in his new endeavour.

On Tuesday night, the star played Manchester, where she shared a post-gig shandy with Coronation Street star Antony Cotton, aka Weatherfield's Sean Tully.

'WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!! Thank you Manchester for 4 incredible nights and peeps for all ur amazing tweets!! Your #Aphrodite x'

Then added: '@antonycotton and I sharing a post show drinky-poo!!!'

Kylie's tour also stops by for five nights at the London's O2 Arena, kicking off on April 7, and finally winds up in Perth, Australia, on 22 June.

The moment Kylie Minogue breaks down while talking about her traumatic cancer battle in an extraordinarily raw interview

By Andrea Magrath

Emotional: Kylie Minogue broke down while discussing her battle with breast cancer during an interview with Australian television

Just last week she celebrated the monumental five year, all clear mark.

And despite being at the top of her game, in the midst of a spectacular world tour, Kylie Minogue has revealed how her harrowing battle with breast cancer still haunts her.

The 42-year-old singer broke down in tears and had to leave the room during an emotional interview with Australian television program Sunday Night.

Overcome: Kylie had to turn her face away from the camera during the interview with Australian music personality Molly Meldrum to attempt to recover

In what is undoubtedly her most raw and candid interview to date, Kylie opened up about the dark period to her close friend, Molly Meldrum, before the opening night of her Aphrodite tour in Denmark.

Meldrum complimented her on her 'brave' battle with the disease, but Kylie corrected him: 'You might have seen the bravery. I don't think the public saw... well, I stayed indoors.

'My family got me through really rotten, dark moments.'

Distraught: The singer had been discussing an encounter with a sick child's parents when the memory became too much for her

Time out: The 42-year-old apologised to Meldrum, a good friend, and halted the interview

Tears welled in hear eyes and she struggled to speak after discussing an encounter with a sick child and their parents in a children's hospital.

Kylie said: 'I was talking to some parents across the other side of a bed and their child was there.

'I was saying the things that I would normally say in that situation, just making conversation with the child, with the parents, giving them some support as well.

'And then, they really caught me off guard, they just eyeballed me and said, "How are you, and we hope you get through it" and it’s like...'

Memories: Kylie explained that she had not thought about the encounter for some time and she was 'caught off guard'

The singer struggled to find her words and became overcome with emotion.

As Meldrum, a legendary music personality in Australia, started to move onto another question, the emotion became too much for Kylie and after hiding her face to attempt to recover, she apologised and dashed out of the room.

But Minogue quickly returned to the room, eager to explain why the topic had upset her so much.

Still clearly emotional and fighting tears, she told the crew, 'It's OK, keep rolling.

Traumatic: Kylie was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005, and says that her family got her through 'the really rotten, dark moments'

'The reason that that gets me is, and the greatest part of my job and what I do is the humanity of it, and there’s certain moments where that really cuts through.'

She said that she hadn't thought about that encounter for some time, and that: 'It stopped me in my tracks.'

Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 but at the end of February, she celebrated five years of being given the all clear.

'The five-year mark is the end of this month and I feel like I’m back with all guns blazing,' Kylie told Australian newspaper the Herald Sun in February.

Family: Kylie also said that she 'might' marry boyfriend Andres Velencoso and that he is 'a natural' with children

'I’ll have a few mixed emotions on the day. I wanted to do a concert but now I’m on tour myself. I don’t know what to do. Obviously, it’s going to be exciting but it’s also going to be surreal and momentous and a bit scary.

'Anyone who’s been through cancer or any other disease with surgeries and treatments knows you have constant reminders that this is not how it used to be. I think my path is written,' she added.

'Even if part of you wants to say "OK I get it, I’m used to this", another part of you takes a lot longer to catch up with it and get with the program.'

After their raw discussion, Kylie and Meldrum moved on to cheerier topics, including the prospect of marriage and babies with her boyfriend, Andre Velencoso, 32.

Fighting fit: Minogue just celebrated the five year, all clear mark at the end of February

Quizzed by Meldrum on the subject of marriage, she said: “It might happen, who knows!

And she even beat her old friend to the chase on the inevitable follow-up question, saying: 'Andres is a natural with children. We will just have to see but I’m not sure if that will be part of my future.

'There’s more than one way to skin a cat. It’s important for women to know there are other options available, whatever means you have to use to have a family, if that’s your desire go for it.'
